Prayer

Father Yahweh, thank You for calling us to know You and to stay close to You. Please help us to be steady, not just in moments of excitement, but in daily life. Wake us up in any place where we’ve grown tired or distracted. Let our hearts be soft and ready for You. Teach us to walk with You until the very end.

In the name of Yeshua (Jesus the Messiah), Amen.

Introduction

Many people begin their journey with Yahweh with excitement and joy. But over time, that passion can fade. Life gets busy. Disappointments come. Delays can make us feel forgotten. But Yahweh is not looking for quick bursts of love. He desires a heart that stays connected—a heart that remains faithful from beginning to end.

This is a message about staying close to Yahweh—even when it’s hard, even when you don’t feel anything, even when it seems like nothing is changing. He sees you. And He is calling you to keep the fire burning.

Scripture Exploration

Luke 12:35–36 (NRSV):

“Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit; be like those who are waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that they may open the door for him as soon as he comes and knocks.”

You may also read:
Luke 12:37–40 – to understand how the Master responds to those who are ready.

Leviticus 6:12 (NRSV):

“The fire on the altar shall be kept burning; it shall not go out. Every morning the priest shall add wood to it, lay out the burnt offering on it, and turn into smoke the fat pieces of the offerings of well-being.”

You may also read:
Leviticus 6:8–13 – for the full instruction on how the altar fire was to be cared for.

Matthew 24:13 (NRSV):

“But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Deep Dive

In Luke 12, Yeshua (Jesus) tells us to live like people who are ready and waiting—like someone staying awake late at night, knowing their loved one could come home at any moment. The “lamp” represents our faith, love, and connection with Yahweh. It must stay lit.

In Leviticus, the fire on the altar was not allowed to go out. The priest had to tend it every morning. This was a sign of constant devotion. Today, we don’t have physical altars, but Yahweh calls us to keep our hearts burning with love for Him.

In Matthew 24, Yeshua reminds us that it's not just about starting well—it’s about finishing with faith. Those who keep trusting and obeying until the end will receive the full promise.

Relatable Scenario

Imagine a lighthouse keeper on a rocky shore. Even on nights when no ships are visible, he tends the flame. Why? Because one day, someone may need that light to find safety. If the light has gone out, that ship could crash.

That’s how our faith works. We may not always feel like our faith is helping someone. But Yahweh sees. Our steady devotion matters, even when we don’t see the results.

Core Message

Yahweh isn’t looking for people who just feel excited for a short time. He’s looking for those who will love Him, trust Him, and walk with Him through every part of life.

If we love Him for a moment, but give up when things get hard, we miss the deeper journey.
If we try to be ready for Yeshua’s return, but don’t stay connected to Him daily, we grow tired and confused.

But when we stay close to Him every day, even in small ways, it pleases His heart. That’s what He wants—for us to walk with Him faithfully all the way to the end.

Life Stories

There are people who pray and worship Yahweh for years with no applause, no public platform, no spotlight. You may be one of them. And Yahweh says: I see you. I’m with you. Your faithfulness matters.

A woman once prayed quietly for 25 years in her small home. No one knew. But when she passed away, her neighbors shared how her life had changed theirs. Her quiet devotion reached further than she ever imagined.

You don’t need a stage to make a difference. You just need to keep the fire.

Common Experiences

You may feel:

  • Spiritually tired or dry

  • Like your prayers are going unanswered

  • That others around you have lost their fire

  • That you started strong but don’t know how to keep going

  • That life has pulled you away from the closeness you once had with Yahweh

If that’s you—you’re not alone. And it’s not too late. You can return to Yahweh now. He’s ready to meet you again.

Everyday Challenges

You may ask:

  • “How do I stay close to Yahweh when I feel nothing?”

  • “What if I’ve messed up or let my fire go out?”

  • “How can I be ready for Yeshua to come back if I’m tired or weak?”

Here is the answer: Come back to Him one step at a time.
You don’t need to perform or be perfect. You just need to show up. Talk to Him. Read a small piece of Scripture. Ask for help. Invite His Spirit in. These small things keep your fire burning.

Modern Connections

In today’s world:

  • Many start with joy, but don’t stay the course

  • We chase quick results and often forget long faithfulness

  • It's easy to compare ourselves and give up when we don’t feel strong

But Yahweh is raising up a people who will stay steady—not because of their strength, but because they stay connected to His presence.

Reflection and Application

Take a quiet moment with these questions:

  • Have I let the fire of my love for Yahweh grow dim?

  • What can I do today to return to closeness with Him?

  • Am I living in a way that’s ready for Yeshua’s return?

Simple Next Steps:

  1. Take five minutes today to sit in stillness with Yahweh—no phone, no distraction.

  2. Pray simply: “Father, I want to stay close to You.”

  3. Choose one Scripture and read it slowly. Let it speak to you.

  4. Ask Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) to breathe new life into your heart.

  5. Commit to one act of quiet devotion—daily prayer, worship, or journaling.

Closing Prayer

Father Yahweh, I want to keep the fire of my heart burning for You. Help me to stay close to You—not just today, but for the rest of my life. Forgive me where I’ve grown cold or distracted. Show me how to return to You in small, real ways. Thank You for never giving up on me.

In the name of Yeshua, Amen.
